Under a new agreement between Taylor & Francis Group and the Qatar National Library, researchers based at institutions in Qatar can now publish gold open access at no extra cost. This is an exciting development which will further boost the reach and global impact of Qatari research.
The readership element of this partnership also means that researchers at the Qatar National Library, Qatar University, and SIDRA Medicine will have access to all Taylor & Francis subscription journals, including medical articles. This gives Qatari scholars immediate access to the latest cutting-edge research across an extensive range of subjects, from Anthropology to Zoology.
Articles published in 2019 and 2020, with a corresponding author based at an institution in Qatar, will be eligible for open access publishing. This includes papers published in fully open access journals as well as those published in one of the 2,300 Taylor & Francis and Routledge Open Select (hybrid) journals.
You don’t need to do anything. All new research published in Taylor & Francis journals, with a corresponding author based at a qualifying Qatari institution, will automatically be considered for open access publication under this agreement.
