How to influence policy and practice with open research
What the event covered

The world we live in is facing enormous challenges such as social mobility, poverty, public health, climate change, or social and regional disparities. Public policies that seek to address these challenges can only work if the choices made by decision-makers are informed by the best available evidence.
Research is indispensable to policymaking as it can produce good evidence to inform local, national, and international policy that, in turn, has the potential to transform lives for the better.
In this webinar, our experts discussed key steps researchers can take to ensure their work has an impact on public policy and showcase real success stories.
The webinar uncovered how to:
Get policymakers to engage with your work
Tell the full story of your research through non-traditional article types
Lend credibility to your findings with open data
This webinar is perfect for researchers across all subject areas and will provide guidance for attendees on how to best prepare and communicate open research for policy influence.
