About the speaker

Professor Devesh Misra is Professor and Chair in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, India and PhD in Metallurgy and Materials Science from University of Cambridge, UK.

His interdisciplinary research interests include advanced high strength-high toughness combination metals and alloys for structural and functional applications, materials for energy systems, biomaterials, and nanostructured materials including composite materials. The research contributions made by Professor Devesh Misra along with his co-workers and collaborators have led to several hundred peer-reviewed journal articles. He serves on the Editorial Board of several journals and is a highly active reviewer. Several institutions and societies have recognized and honored him for his original scientific contributions. 

Anant Misra is a Portfolio Manager with the journal’s editorial team at Taylor and Francis. With over ten years of experience in academic publishing, he has worked with books as well as journals in humanities and science & technology.
