Mithi Ahmed-Richards is the Executive Editor of Current Medical Research & Opinion at Taylor & Francis, and a patient advocate for Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK, living with diffuse scleroderma since she was 19 years old. Mithi is passionate about driving the patient voice across all areas of publications and as such, has been a patient author as well as developing Taylor & Francis’ patient authorship guidance.
Olivia Alexander is an editor specializing in Plain Language Summary of Publication articles (PLSPs). She is dedicated to making medical research accessible to those who need it most. Olivia oversees the PLSP process from submission to publication, making sure that complex scientific findings are transformed into clear, understandable content for non-specialist audiences. A large part of her work focuses on maintaining high editorial standards whilst providing avenues for patients to be involved in the publication process.
