3 things to consider before submitting your book proposal

Before you send us your proposal, make sure you have thought about these three important considerations:

  1. Unique Selling Point (USP)

Does your book offer a unique and compelling perspective? What makes this material stand out as new, interesting, and innovative?

  2. Demand

Is there a clear need for your book? What specific requirements or interests does your book address for readers?

  3. Expertise

What makes you the perfect author for this book? How does your experience, research, and background showcase your expertise?

If you feel confident that your idea for a book or cohesive edited collection shines in these areas, we’d love to hear from you.

After submitting your book proposal for consideration, a Commissioning Editor will be in touch to let you know whether we’d like to proceed with your idea.

If your proposal is accepted, the Editor will discuss next steps and provide you with a book proposal form specific to your subject area. This will help you capture all the essential information needed to move forward.
