peer review
|
This workshop provides a comprehensive look at peer review, teaching participants how to assess papers, write reports, and navigate ethical considerations.
Some of the most common concerns we hear researchers express are around issues of Authorship. A researcher’s career is built on their ideas and contributions to the scholarly record, and so it is crucial that authorship has been attributed properly, or that all contributors to an article understand the requirements & responsibilities of authorship. When that does not happen, it can slow down the publication process, or even result in Ethics investigations & retractions.
This session covers:
How we define authorship for Taylor & Francis Journals, including the responsibilities of the author & corresponding author.
How to recognize and avoid problems with ghost authorship, gift authorship, and even authorship for sale.
How to define and declare any competing interests behind your authorship.
Taylor & Francis’ policy on Artificial Intelligence & Authorship.
Dr Fulu (Olufolake) Akinduro-Aje is a Research Integrity Manager within the Publishing Ethics and Integrity Team at Taylor and Francis Group, Journals where she provides investigative support and advice on research ethics and integrity cases, and contributes to the continuous improvement of editorial processes and policies.
